OSHA Eliminates Electronic Injury Reporting Requirement for OSHA Form 300 and Form 301

Effective February 25, 2019, OSHA has eliminated the requirement for establishments with 250 or more employees to electronically submit information from OSHA Form 300 and OSHA Form 301. Employers are still responsible for maintaining OSHA Forms 300 and 301 on-site, to be obtained by OSHA as needed for inspections and enforcement actions.

Employers must continue to electronically submit information from OSHA Form 300A. OSHA is amending the recordkeeping regulation to require covered employers to electronically submit their Employer Identification Number (EIN) with their information from Form 300A, which may help reduce duplicative reporting.
